Our firm, originally founded in 1930, has a history of diverse award-winning work successfully serving a broad base of clients and communities - ideal in providing strong service to multi-use, multi-faceted public projects. Our work is most often for publicly-funded community-oriented projects, where we strive to bring together and blend the goals and aspirations of diverse groups. Our designs incorporate the special and unique requirements, needs, and criteria established with close contact, in-depth meetings, and exploration of design alternatives developed with each client. We strive to have each site and structure reflect the character, spirit and goals of its community and the people it serves, while preserving and enhancing the assets of the natural environment and existing structures.
Our services range from smaller scale artwork and furnishings, to multi-million dollar complex structures and groups of buildings. For each job, we dedicate ourselves to understanding and appreciating the needs and goals of our client and of those who will use and inhabit the structures, and to providing the attention to quality and detail which reflect the importance of a place for community gathering.
Project sites range from urban centers to rural areas, from infill lots to waterfront locations, and involve new construction, renovation, historic preservation and adaptive reuse.
